About us
Your local garden design & build team
Bespoke Garden Designs started in 2018 with the timber side of landscaping – decking, fencing and handmade garden furniture. We went full-time in 2020 and now cover every part of a garden, from patios and planting to garden rooms.
Every garden is different, so we take real care over each design, whatever its size, to make the best use of the space you have. We use quality, sustainable materials and pay close attention to the details, with a friendly, no-pressure approach from the first visit to the final sweep-up.

Any fence on concrete or timber posts, with the old one taken away and disposed of responsibly. Plus made-to-measure gates.

Japanese Zen Garden
Our client asked us to turn her plain paved back garden into a low-maintenance, relaxing Zen garden to sit in and look out on.
We fitted a lot into a small space: planters, a small patio, stepping stones, standing slates and ornaments among trees and shrubs. A decking bridge crosses a pebble stream to a bright pergola, which also hides the shed behind bamboo. Walking through feels like entering a Japanese tea room.

Modern Garden with Porcelain Patio
A whole-garden makeover for a young family with a dog who had just moved in. They wanted a pet-friendly, low-maintenance space for relaxing and entertaining.
We extended the old patio to give more usable space, then added low-maintenance borders, planting and a new shed. Material samples helped us get a bright, modern finish to match the kitchen and dining area at the back of the house.

Tiered Garden with Composite Decking
After a new extension, there was little room between the patio doors and an old retaining wall. The view was poor for our client, who often worked from home, and the steps were in an awkward place.
We split the garden into levels, with porcelain steps centred on the doorway leading up to a large grey composite deck. Bright, hardy planting separates the patio and deck and softens the hard landscaping.

Common questions
Do I have to pay for a consultation?
No. All our consultations are free, including a quote and a drawing if needed. For bigger projects that need a 3D CAD design and a detailed planting plan, we do charge, but we always discuss this with you after your first quote.
How much does landscaping cost?
It can be anything from under £3,000 to many tens of thousands, depending on what you want and the size of the project. We always set out exactly what's included in your quote.
Is composite decking worth the money?
We think so. The boards need less maintenance and handle the weather much better than most timber decks. A good composite system lasts 25+ years. The NeoTimber boards we use come with a 25-year limited warranty for homes.
How much does a pergola or gazebo cost?
Pergolas usually start at around £700. Gazebos are usually £1,500–£5,000, depending on size, materials and the base needed.
How long does a project take?
Fencing can often be done in a day or two. Decking and landscaping projects can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. We give you timings at the very start and do everything we can to stick to them.
Will you need access to my house?
No. As long as we have an outside power supply and a water source, we can carry out most work. With no side access, we can come through the house with plenty of protection on floors and walls, or use a neighbour's access.
Do you manage everything?
Yes – labour, skips, design, materials, deliveries, plus sub-contractors and specialist trades when needed. You can sit back and watch your ideas come to life.
Do you work all year round?
Yes. In the colder months we have to be careful with some jobs, such as concrete, which can only be laid when it's above 5°C.

Yes, we are fully insured.
